I taught college-level composition, high school English, and middle school journalism for fifteen years. Working with such a diverse range of students heightened my appreciation for what I firmly believe is one of the most essential skills any dedicated educator must embrace: the need to adjust to each student’s individual needs and learning methods.
I’m a skills-based educator at heart. As a tutor, my biggest joy comes from helping students dig deeper as critical readers and inspiring them to apply the essential skills that empower them to compose thoroughly developed, logically arranged, stylistically impressive essays.
I’m also eager to help students find their voice and purpose when they write the personal narrative that plays such a vital role in the college application process.
Learning can be a fun experience, and we all know that turning important corners feels great. Always remember that your ideas matter! If you’re motivated to take that next step, I’m ready to help.
