I am from the Inland Empire, but went to school in Portland, Oregon. I got my Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages studying Russian primarily and Spanish secondarily. While in college I studied and worked abroad in both Russia and Mexico. I am a native Spanish speaker, and have traveled to Mexico extensively throughout my life. I also received my Master's of Arts in Teaching Social Studies and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). I am passionate about education and environmental justice. Since moving back to the IE, I have worked as a substitute teacher while also working on educational projects at local community gardens.
