Qualifications & Experience

I completed an undergraduate degree in Physics at Columbia University in New York City in 1998. While there I collaborated with Columbia Astrophysics Laboratory researchers on cosmology research with emphasis on algorithms, scientific computation and computability, resulting in several publications. I am a professional software developer and held a senior engineering role at a global security software vendor for many years. I previously served as a classroom teaching assistant for undergraduate physics at UCLA. I have successfully mentored students ranging from elementary to high school in-home in mathematics, physics, and computer programming subjects. I logged approximately 200 hours of one on one instruction during the 2015-2016 school year. I specialize in Advanced Placement subjects, especially AP Computer Science.
