My name is Zach Nanus, twenty six years old living in Los Angeles. I was raised in a kosher conservative household in New York and studied in Solomon Schechter School K-12. I spent a semester of 10th grade in Jerusalem and returned again after high school to study and travel for a year with the Kivunim: New Directions Program. Nowadays, I attend synagogue on an almost weekly basis.
I am perfectly versed in Torah Trope, Haftorah Trope, and prayer services. I have worked with kids in the past, as a Hebrew School Teacher in Reseda CA, Camp Counselor for 9-11 year old boys at Camp Modin Jewish Summer Camp, and as a Boys & Girls Club Volunteer.
In addition to tutoring one-on-one, I will provide MP3 recordings for your child so he or she can practice at home, on his or her own time. I am also able to work with your child in developing a D'var Torah (the Bar/Bat mitzvah speech) if that is something needed.
