I have tutored for at least three years at a non-profit in a diverse academic setting. I have tutored 5th grade writing, 2nd grade reading and math, 4th grade math and science, and 6th grade math and language arts. Topics include converting fractions into decimals, evaluating expressions, adding integers, states of matter, identifying personal pronouns and possessive pronouns, math talks, brainstorming for writing, reading skills, studying skills, and resolving conflicts. Students are able to gain confidence after the tutoring sessions.
