I have a Bachelors of Science degree in the field of economics from Portland State University. My cluster courses were focused in knowledge, rationality, and understanding. As part of this cluster I took classes in philosophy and formal logic. I have an extensive background in teaching, having been camp director of a sports academy for 5 years, and 1 year of experience as a Resource Specialist Teacher at Maywood Academy high school. I am very knowledgeable of the California Common Core state standards. I also have a strong background in teaching English and reading. I have authorization from the California Teaching Commission in supporting English Language Learners, students with mild to moderate special needs, and students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have worked with students who receive special education services, as well as students who are in the general education classroom.
