I have a Bachelor’s of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing, an Education Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate disabilities, as well as a Master’s Degree in Special Education. I currently work as a resource specialist teacher in a small elementary school in West L.A from 7:55 until 2:35. I provide educational interventions in both reading and mathematics to students ranging from kindergarten age to 6th grade. My peers and coworkers have described me as an extremely competent, dependable, hard working professional who is dedicated to the education profession.
The set of pedagogical and instructional skills that I have developed allows me to work with and adapt to the needs of any learner. I am able to think on my feet and to meet instructional goals, whether I am working with students who are struggling with specific skills or simply need extra enrichment. I have experience using remediation programs in both math in reading such as Read Naturally, Wilson’s just Words and Touch Math. My competencies as an education specialist would be of great benefit to your organization. I love teaching and have the extra time this year to tutor students after school hours.
Sincerely,
Robert
