Myths About Raw Feeding- Part 1
In this video, we will go through the two common raw feeding myths about Dogs. The first one says that 'Dogs are too far removed from wolves to be fed a raw diet/ have been changed too much, and therefore cannot handle a raw diet.' This is mostly false. The only truth found in the statement is that humans have changed Dogs but, we have only changed their external appearance and temperament, not their internal anatomy and physiology. The second myth says that 'Millions of dogs safely eat commercial foods, so why feed raw? Millions of Dogs are safely eating 'Complete and balanced' commercial foods each day.' This statement is more of an observation, but it is false on many subtle levels.
03:36
Myths About Raw Feeding- Part 2
In this video, we will go through other myths about raw feeding. The first one says that 'the bacterial in raw meat will hurt your dog.' Yes, the bacteria in raw meat might hurt your dog if the dog has an immunocompromised system or some underlying problem. The second myth says 'Raw-fed animals pose a significant health risk to humans'. This is a myth made possible by our society's pathological fear of bacteria. Of the millions of bacteria on this earth, it is estimated that less than 1% are harmful.
05:01
Myths About Raw Feeding- Part 3
In this video, we will go through other myths about raw feeding. The first one says, 'There is no scientific research to validate raw diets.' The 'no scientific research' declaration is a cop-out claim used to "debunk" raw diets and suppress the truth. But everyone must realize that there is no evidence whatsoever to prove that kibbled, processed foods are good for your pets. The second one says, 'Different breeds of Dogs need different kinds of diets.' This is absolutely false.
04:14
Myths About Raw Feeding- Part 4
In this video, we will go through other myths about raw feeding. The first one says, 'Ground raw diets are an acceptable alternative to feeding whole bones.' While this will always be better than commercial kibbled foods, there are still several good reasi=ons why ground and pre-made raw should be avoided if you and your pets can do so. The second one says, 'Toy breeds and small dogs cannot eat a diet of raw meaty bones.' This is completely false! Of all the Dogs that need a raw diet, toy breeds and small dogs are the Dogs that perhaps need it the most.
