This class introduces active conversation and everyday aspects of the contemporary Spanish-speaking world. Intro to Spanish will focus on the fundamentals of pronunciation, practical vocabulary, useful phrases and the ability to understand, read, write and speak simple Spanish. The student will learn four basic language skills: understanding, speaking, reading, and writing. 1. The alphabet, the numbers, time, weather. 2. Greetings and salutations. 3. Gender and number-grammatical categories. 4. Ordinal numbers, numbers 5. Home, family and friends- identify and describe. 6. Some food and clothing. 7. Common expressions and vocabulary.
