Hi! I have a Bachelor's in music and mathematics from Columbia and just finished my PhD in math at UIC. I don't believe tutoring should be just another lecture to an audience of one; as such, I work especially well with students who arrive armed with questions. I have a broad conceptual background in mathematics, and I'm especially eager to help hard-working students whose confusion stems from the lack of perspective inherent in new learning.
I also have a background in music history and theory and can help students struggling with such classes. I have written concert music for the better part of a decade, and can also offer composition and theory lessons to middle and high school aged composers.
